What do you think?

I realy like the look and feel of the game, the only thing i would suggest is making the first stage easier since it felt harder than other levels.

NO OPENING THE LAUCH

Excited to see a demo or full release. Keep up the great work!

Mechonomics Title Theme

Overview:

Mechonomics will be a 2D run-and-gun style game that focuses primarily on its platforming and shooting mechanics. The player can slide, duck, and jump to dodge enemy fire and return it with an assortment of weapons.

Story:

USSR Occupied America, 1982-

After the second world war, the feverish spread of communism and America's response to it prompted a long and arduous test of strength between the planet's two leading superpowers. With missiles closely trained at each other, it was apparent to both nations that nuclear fire would solve nothing. The USSR buckled down and focused all resources into furthering the technology of war. Following close along of course was America with the same characteristic grit and industrious ingenuity that won the wars of the past. For years the Cold War slowly began to heat up as newer and stronger machines were produced to forever change the landscape of battle. Large hulking mech-suits piloted by the bright minds of a generation born into conflict dominated the fields. The United States fought hard but was soon overrun. It is now a soviet state under communistic rule, but unknown to the soviets is a resistance group festering under the USSR's great boot of oppression.

New demo hot-fix

Known Issues:
-Dying while firing a weapon sometimes crashes the game
-Sliding up an incline can result in strange arm drawing
-Mechs vibrate when standing on inclines
-Mechs clip behind angled surfaces
-Enemies standing on passable platforms can't move

I lied a little bit when I said the demo was coming "soon." But it's finally here. It's not massive, it's not challenging, but I think it highlights what's important about Mechonomics. Please check the "read me" for controls, and I hope you enjoy!

The actual namesake of the game, the mech, is almost finished. Soon I will begin building the demo and then you too can join in on the shredding.

Almost ready for a playable demo
